I was a little concerned when I saw the page length, thinking a good portion of the book was going to be spent on the campaigns for New Orleans and Galveston. Just the opposite, with most of the book covering lesser known operations in the theatre, and great maps on a regimental level. Looking forward to the next volume, Thunder Across the Swamp.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16471073.post-24021438757485276842009-11-08T06:36:49.187-08:002009-11-08T06:36:49.187-08:00I have always been interested in history especiall...I have always been interested in history especially the civil war. I found Dupree's "Planting the Union Flag in Texas" worthwhile in that it provided a brief overview of Banks' Campaigns, but I would hardly call the study definitive (Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16471073.post-86071083207559563782009-05-14T13:22:00.000-07:002009-05-14T13:22:00.000-07:00Please don't forget John D.
