He has material that casts new light on some of the most controversial aspects of the battle, and a number of us who love the field have long hoped that he would get these interpretations into print.

While I love the B&G series - it proves without a Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16471073.post-7242548746471055072007-11-21T18:29:00.000-08:002007-11-21T18:29:00.000-08:00Drew,I think it's quite likely that Dave with do t...Drew,

I think it's quite likely that Dave with do that.

It's appropriate that Savas-Beatie public Dave Powell's map study, too.

EricEric Wittenberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12593195379278302156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16471073.post-15131888174379552512007-11-21T11:53:00.000-08:002007-11-21T11:53:00.000-08:00Eric,Thanks for the info. I wouldn't be surprised if B&G later repackaged it in some form as a General's Books publication.

Powell's map study project sounds wonderful. As a model, I like Gottfried's general approach.DW@CWBAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00018056113264346047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16471073.post-61644354608586030882007-11-21T11:30:00.000-08:002007-11-21T11:30:00.000-08:00Drew,Indeed there is, and Dave Roth does a great j...Drew,

Indeed there is, and Dave Roth does a great job with B&G.

Dave tells me that this series of articles is the serialization of Robertson's book on the Chickamauga Campaign, so this is what you get. It's been suggested that Robertson is doing this magazine series in lieu of a book, but I don't know how much truth is in that conjecture.DW@CWBAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00018056113264346047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16471073.post-86866272715785518012007-11-21T05:28:00.000-08:002007-11-21T05:28:00.000-08:00Hello DrewI had heard at one time that Glenn Rober...Hello Drew

I had heard at one time that Glenn Robertson was working on a Chickamauga book?
