2. Violent Encounters: Interviews on Western Massacres
by Deborah and John Lawrence (U of Okla Pr, 2011).Prominent western massacres are examined in a Q&A format with recognized experts. The two most Civil War-related cover Sand Creek and the Santee Sioux uprising. I like it a great deal so far.
