After a long drought, a handful of books dealing with the Civil War in the Far West have dribbled out over the past year or two, including a reprint of a classic examination of
Civil War Los Angeles, another
California study, a look at
Lincolnian politics in Oregon, and a military history of the
Pacific Northwest's Civil War. Next up is Ken Robison's
Montana Territory and the Civil War: A Frontier Forged on the Battlefield (no information on it yet beyond a projected October '13 release date). Keep 'em coming.
