I am looking forward to reading all of his forthcoming projects, and, of course, I'm particularly interested in any of his projects relating to the trans-Mississippi.Jane Johanssonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11723064098756475302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16471073.post-42567566798723224702012-06-19T20:48:34.975-07:002012-06-19T20:48:34.975-07:00I certainly hope that Prof. Hess writes studies of...I certainly hope that Prof. Hess writes studies of the battle at Helena and of Steele's Camden campaign, especially the former. The book he and Bill Shea wrote on Pea Ridge is first rate and sets a high standard for campaign studies.

Jim McGheeJim McGheenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16471073.post-6263185736759619932012-06-18T18:05:26.172-07:002012-06-18T18:05:26.172-07:00Thanks for a great interview. I must also salute Earl. Most authors who are this prolific generate skepticism about their depth of research and analysis. I have yet to buy a Hess book which doesn't live up to its promise.John Foskettnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16471073.post-68023728569644424022012-06-18T06:22:42.813-07:002012-06-18T06:22:42.813-07:00Hello Drew

I was also glad to hear that he has a nice list of other projects planned. Really excited about the books on the Georgia Campaign. I had heard at one time he had planned a book on the Georgia Campaign similar to his series on the trench Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16471073.post-62995525219698202692012-06-17T18:14:09.996-07:002012-06-17T18:14:09.996-07:00Great interview!
