* Enacting History edited by Scott Magelssen and Rhona Justice-Malloy (U of Ala Pr, 2011).

The editors of this essay collection argue, with the typical misgivings, for the importance of "historical performances" (i.e. "living history museums, battle reenactments, pageants, renaissance festivals, and adventure-tourism destinations") in bringing history to the masses.
