I never thought I would see David Smith's
Campaign to Nowhere, the best history of the 1863-64 military maneuvers in Upper East Tennessee post-Knoxville 'siege', ever get reprinted. Before now, just finding a copy of this heavily illustrated oversize paperback was practically impossible. If you're interested in the subject, have a go at it. It's worth it.
