Peach Tree Creek
A few days ago, I was informed that The Battle of Peach Tree Creek: Hood's First Sortie, July 20, 1864 has arrived at the publisher's warehouse and will ship next week. This is the first major title on my 2014 radar and I'm looking forward to reading it. Author Robert Jenkins's name sounds familiar, like I read an article or essay by him at some point, but I can't place him with any previous publications.

Alright, Looking forward to it. I hope the detail is great.
ReplyDeleteAlways good to see the Army of Tennessee again in action even if this covers the beginning of the end for them.

Drew: Looking forward to your review. I just received it and a quick skim gave me one question out of the box - how does the author fail to mention or, worse, include in the bibliography Ecelbarger's nicely-done 2010 book on the July battles (including this one)?
ReplyDeleteI still don't have it. Hopefully, it will arrive next week.
