The "Dictator" in action

If you'd like to see and hear replica CW cannon fire live rounds, check out this site (thanks to Jeff G. for pointing it out). I've viewed video of lighter field pieces before, but siege guns in action are new to my senses. Among the big boys, I was particularly impressed by the audible power of the 13 in. seacoast mortar round. Even with the sound distortion, one can readily appreciate the morale effect of such shelling. The "Dictator" indeed.
